Private Division Will Team Up With Game Freak For New Action Adventure Title
The makers of Drilldozer, Pokemon, and Little Town Hero will be teaming up with a Western developer for a new project.
Game Freak will be partnering with Private Division to publish the developer’s new game code-named Project Bloom. Little is known about the title except that it’s an action-adventure title and will only be out during the fiscal year 2026 of Private Division’s parent company -Take-Two Interactive. That will start on 1st April 2025 and end on 31 March 2026.
Here’s the full statement from Game Freak director Kota Furushima regarding the new partnership:
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to create new IP that is bold and tonally different from our prior work.
From the beginning, Private Division was the publisher we wanted to work with on our new game. Their track record and global expertise give us all the confidence to create a sweeping new action-adventure game that we can’t wait to share more about in the future.
“Over the past three decades, you’d be hard pressed to find a studio which has released more iconic hits than Game Freak. We’re ready to help Game Freak unleash their potential and we’re honored to be the first western publisher to work alongside this exceptionally talented and proven team to bring a bold new IP to market.”
No platforms have been announced for Project Bloom yet. Fans who wish to see Game Freak do something other than Pokemon games should be stoked for this, though it’ll take a while since it’s only expected to be out between mid-2025 to 2026.
