The Argentinian-based Pizia Studios, just announced their latest game, Hayaku! and the Island of Darkness, a retro-style Metroidvania game that will be available on PC via Steam.
According to a Gematsu article, the developers said they’re trying their best to make the game available on other platforms as well, but there’s no guarantee at this time.
So, what’s the game all about? Well, the game’s Steam page has some details for us. Hayaku! and the Island of Darkness is a retro-style Metroidvania game that pays tribute to classic 8-bit games. It has challenging platforming, intense combat, and an interesting story!
The story goes like this: you play as Hayaki, a talented soldier and member of an organization called Reikan, which investigates and stops unusual activities. Recently, a strange island has become home to dangerous and unpredictable creatures for no apparent reason, so Reikan has decided to look into it. As a member of the team, Hayaki is the best choice for navigating the tricky terrain and figuring out the island’s secrets. But he’s not just doing it for the job. His brother, who also worked for Reikan, disappeared on the island, so Hayaki is determined to find him no matter what it takes. So, are you ready to help him?
