Brace yourselves for some exciting news in the Silent Hill universe. A collaborative effort between Genvid, Behaviour Interactive, Bad Robot Games, and dj2 Entertainment, in partnership with Konami, has just dropped a fresh trailer for Silent Hill: Ascension.

They’ve also announced that the highly anticipated interactive streaming series is set to hit screens in 2023. The platforms on which it will be available are still a mystery, so we’ll have to stay tuned for further updates.

What can we expect from Silent Hill: Ascension?

Well, get ready to embark on a spine-chilling journey alongside multiple main characters hailing from different corners of the globe. These poor souls find themselves tormented by an array of brand-new, hair-raising monsters from the Silent Hill universe. As they’re lured into the depths of darkness, both recent murders and long-buried guilt and fears threaten to consume them, their loved ones, and even entire towns.

Now, here’s the twist: In Silent Hill: Ascension, the outcome of this bone-chilling tale lies in the hands of millions. Yes, you heard that right. By the time the final scene rolls, it’ll be up to the audience to decide which characters survive and what fate befalls them. Will they find redemption, damnation, or simply suffer in the clutches of evil? Even the creators themselves are in the dark, as they’ve relinquished control over the characters’ destinies to us, the viewers.

You won’t be experiencing this terror alone. This time, you and a global audience will wield direct and permanent influence over the characters and the story. Picture it as a power trip where you get to shape the future of Silent Hill forever. Now that’s something you don’t want to miss out on.

Chris Amaral, the art director at Bad Robot Games, couldn’t contain his excitement. In a recent press release, he mentioned the team’s dedication to crafting a nightmarish world in Silent Hill: Ascension. From the bone-chillingly detailed environments to the unnerving atmosphere, not to mention the hauntingly realistic characters and monsters, they’ve gone the extra mile to create a horror experience that stays true to the Silent Hill franchise while offering a fresh and unique twist.

Adding to this, Genvid Entertainment CEO Jacob Navok highlighted the immersive nature of Silent Hill: Ascension. With stunning visuals that will captivate audiences, the series promises to deliver community-driven moments that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. It’s a psychological horror journey that pays homage to the beloved Silent Hill series, all while offering a brand-new interactive twist. It’s an unprecedented experience that fans worldwide have been eagerly waiting for.

Motoi Okamoto, the Silent Hill series producer at Konami, expressed his excitement as well. He assured fans and horror enthusiasts alike that Silent Hill: Ascension will take them to unexplored locations within the Silent Hill universe. Alongside the introduction of new characters, it’s a fresh opportunity for fans to immerse themselves in an interactive story that will keep them guessing. And the best part? It’s up to us to determine the fate of these main characters, whose stories will unfold simultaneously across the globe.

So, horror aficionados, get ready to dive headfirst into Silent Hill: Ascension. With its gripping storyline, immersive visuals, and the power to shape the narrative, this upcoming instalment is sure to leave a lasting mark on the franchise.
