Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Announced For PlayStation And Xbox Platforms

Team Reptile, developers of Lethal League, Megabyte Punch and Lethal League Blaze announced their 3D action adventure platformer, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is coming to PlayStation and Xbox platforms later this year.

The launch will be shortly after Nintendo Switch and PC release on August 2023. Gematsu reported the studio would release other versions “roughly one or two weeks later,” it seems September would be the safe bet.

According to their official blog post, director Dion Koster stated that the final touches are being applied to Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. “Right now we are doing the final touches on the game. Making this game has been a great time, a very natural avenue for us and a personal one for me. That is not to say there were no difficulties, but already the fact that I am dancing in my own game certainly makes me feel that it goes beyond the idea of a product. Heading more into having a blast and just expressing ourselves.”

Koster also confirms that Team Reptile will continue to create similar titles regardless of the reception the game receives in the upcoming months. “This way of thinking has evolved during the course of the development of BRC and I can still see so much more depth to explore in the mixture of street and fiction, cyber and funk. So that’s why, regardless of reception, I would like to formally announce we will be creating more of these type of games after Bomb Rush Cyberfunk.”

In Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, players control a graffiti writer whose head was removed and replaced with a robotic one. He then joins the Bomb Rush crew, which includes Tryce and Bell. They aim to travel to All City to unravel who cut off Red’s head and how deeply his human side connects with the world of graffiti. Find new members to join the crew around the city. Paint vibrant graffiti, donn unique outfits and get new funky tunes to play on your flip phone.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on 18 August 2023.
