Fan-Made Final Fantasy IX Memoria Project Showcases Gameplay Demo Trailer

Final Fantasy IX Memoria Project is a fan-made passion project led by a team of over 50 professional developers and artists in the video game industry that aims to reimagine what the legendary game could look like if it was remade with modern graphical capabilities. After three years of development, they have finally given us a look at the project in action.

However, it’s important to note that due to copyright, Final Fantasy IX Memoria Project is only for the purposes of proof of concept, and is not meant to be a playable product.

The 25-minute video showcases what Final Fantasy IX would look like if recreated in Unreal Engine 5, and it looks good. This just further proves that the next Final Fantasy title that Square Enix should remake is definitely Final Fantasy IX, which is second in popularity only to Final Fantasy VII.
