Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge DLC Introduces Long Sought-After Survival Mode
Probably the most-requested mode for beat-em-ups in 2020 onward is Survival Mode with roguelike capabilities, where you fight through endless waves of foes until you’re done.
The upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge DLC, “Dimension Shellshock”, is adding just that: a new Survival Mode. You team up, fight through dimensions and enemies, collect crystals, then power yourself up for future runs when you eventually KO.
“Survival Mode introduces collectible crystals that allow you to jump from dimension to dimension, with each dimension featuring its own unique look and feel. The extended footage tours the Edo dimension, inspired by Japan; the four Turtles in 8-bit backgrounds; and Splinter, Casey, April, and Usagi in Omnichannel 6.
The new mode allows players to level up and grow stronger through runs across dimensions. After they die and have collected enough crystals, they unlock a new life, ninja power bars, Radical Mode, and extra hit points. Players will also be granted the ability to skip dimensions, and Dimension Shellshock will come complete with flashy new character colors.”
We’ve seen a couple of costumes and colours we love, like Ralph’s red mask in the Archie Comics series to even the Turtles in 8-bit colour like in the NES titles. In any case, this DLC’s going to be a treat for 80s and 90s Turtles fans!
Check out the gameplay below. The upcoming TMNT Shredder’s Revenge DLC will be out in 2023 for PC and consoles.
