Bandai Namco announced Tekken 8 will begin to distribute its closed network test codes for PlayStation 5 players. Those who have registered for the closed network test will receive a code on 21 July 2023. The closed network test promises access to 16 playable characters, five stages, and ranked matches with cross-platform play support (up to rank 10).
Additionally, Heat Energy has been removed in the closed network test, and the heat activation time of Heat Timer will change depending on how it is activated. Although, the “Heat Smash” command has been standardized for all playable characters.
PlayStation 5 players will be able to get their first hands experience in the game following the second closed network test for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The code will be sent via email to those who registered at the game’s official website. Selected players may enter their codes in the PlayStation Store on PlayStation 5, and the early access period will begin on 21 July, 1 am PDT/ 21 July, 4 pm MYT. The size of the beta game is allegedly 13 GB of space for the PS5.
Moreover, PS5 players who receive closed network test codes will be able to access the main test, which runs from 28 July, 1 am to 31 July, 12 am PDT (28 July, 4 pm to 31 July, 3 pm MYT).
Two days before the main test begins, closed network test codes will be provided to selected Xbox Series X/S and PC players. The codes will be sent on 26 July 2023. No specific time has been announced and may be revealed closer to the test date.
