DC Universe Online Launches On PS5 & Xbox Series Later This Year

Daybreak Game Company has announced that they will release DC Universe Online for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in holiday 2023, which is usually at the end of the year.

The blog post states:

“Along with the performance gains found playing natively on the latest and greatest hardware, the team is also working on gameplay and quality of life improvements to match.

This initiative is a long-term endeavor that is already underway. You will see some of these improvements launch over the next few months prior to release on the new consoles, some of them at launch, and some of them following over the course of next year.”

The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of DC Universe Online will run on the same servers as other previous versions, so players will still be able to carry over all purchases and achievements and progression.

The DC Universe Online originally launched in 2011 and has since been released on many platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch and other consoles. The MMO is perhaps still best known for its awesome cinematic trailer, which you can watch below:
