By Alleef Ashaari|August 28, 2023|0 Comment
I’m sure you won’t want to waste time sifting through HBO GO’s extensive catalogue of shows and movies just to decide on what to watch. The streaming site updates its site every day, week, and month with new content, so I’m here to save your precious time.
Here are my personal recommendations and highlights for HBO GO September 2023 lineup and how to fill up your free time with worthwhile content at home:
From producer-writer-director Todd Field comes Tár, starring Cate Blanchett as the iconic musician Tár. Tár examines the changing nature of power, its impact and durability in our modern world. She is widely considered one of the greatest living composers / conductors and first-ever female chief conductor of a major German Orchestra. Cast include Cate Blanchett, Noemie Merlant, Nina Hoss, Sophie Kauer, Julian Glover, Allan Corduner and Mark Strong.
Premieres Saturday, September 9 at 10pm on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO.
In celebration of Batman Day, binge on movies of your favourite caped crusader from Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy: Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. Check out series such as Gotham Knights, Gotham and more! Kids can catch series such as Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Batman: The Animated Series and animated movies such as Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem and Batman And Superman: Battle Of The Super Sons.
From Saturday, September 16 on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO.
Inspired by Steven Spielberg’s own childhood, the film is a coming-of-age story about a young man uncovering a shattering family secret and the power of film and imagination to help us see the truth about ourselves and each other. The Fabelmans received 7 nominations at the 2023 Academy Awards®. Features a star-studded cast that includes Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Gabriel LaBelle, and Judd Hirsch.
Premieres Saturday, September 23 on HBO GO.
A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously wrong when they run afoul of the wrong people. This hilarious and action-packed adventure captures the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game. Stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page and Hugh Grant.
Premieres Saturday, September 30 on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO.
It’s the perfect time to re-watch this movie, considering how popular Baldur’s Gate 3 has been (a game based on Dungeons & Dragons).
In the meantime, check out my review of Baldur’s Gate 3 after more than 100 hours of playtime (at the time of writing).
