Samba de Amigo: Party Central Reveals Cast & More In New Trailer
By Jess GohVerified|August 4, 2023|0 Comment
SEGA has revealed more details about Samba de Amigo: Party Central, a Nintendo Switch title scheduled for release on 30 August 2023. It also includes details about the co-op mode, the stages in the game, the character list, and more.
Players will line up their Joy-Cons with dots on the screen and shake them, emulating the use of maracas, and keep to the rhythm based on the instructions given, including other dance moves or poses to copy. They plan to expand on the soundtrack with DLC after the initial release of the game.
The game features a good handful of fun party modes to play with friends, such as:
Dance together with a friend to check your compatibility! Whenever your inputs sync up, the heart icons on the screen will get closer and closer. Time your inputs together and make it through the level, it’s time to see how alike you and your friend are! Maybe you’ll reach 100% compatibility!
Battle with your friend in a showdown to win over the in-game audience, through different parts of a song. If you lose, you are given an Appeal Chance to perform actions and win the crowd back in your favour!
Take the classic game mode, and make it available in co-op! The MVP Mark at the end will showcase which of you danced the best in that session!
This mode lets you play a song while doing the minigames from Happenings, alone or with a friend.
Follow the rhythm and swing your bat to hit the ball flying at you, try to knock it out of the park!
Keep moving with this workout game mode, test your stamina with a friend in this endurance challenge!
React to the rhythm balls on the screen, swinging left or right, and get into intense battles with your friend to see who has the best coordination!
Here’s the list of all the new characters that will be available in the game!
Bingo was an ex-dancer unit member, once being a superstar, but rumours spread of his foul mouth, and the costume was the only thing to cover that up. He loves to tease Amiga, but only because he’s such a big fan of hers.
Another former ex-dancer, Bongo formed the unit with Bongo when he invited her over, but after creating a new costume, she began to gain popularity again.
Max is a street dancer, with the city being what he calls home. He loves stylish beats, trendy fashion, and expressing himself through dancing. He used to think maracas were uncool, but Amigo changed his mind.
The rest of the cast are Amigo, Linda, Rio, Rudolph, Chumba, Wanba, and Amiga.
Samba de Amigo: Party Central is the latest entry in the Samba de Amigo series. The playlist is set to include 40 songs from different genres, including EDM, pop, Latin, and more. There are also mini-games alongside challenges and costumes to unlock.
