Turn-Based Tactical RPG Arco Announced For Consoles & PC

Publisher Panic and developers Max Cahill, Franek, Bibiki, and Antonio Uribe have announced Arco, a new turn-based RPG for consoles and PC. The developers have been working on this game for the past two years, as revealed during the publisher’s first showcase on YouTube called Panic Games Showcase 2023.

In Arco’s story, different tribes encounter a shared adversary, the Red Company, a wicked organization responsible for the destruction of the land and its inhabitants. Each character must determine how much they are willing to sacrifice to achieve their goals and whether their actions can be rationalized in the pursuit of the common good, vengeance, or glory. To accomplish their goals, the characters travel through diverse and expansive terrains, mastering potent magic, navigating complex dungeons, bargaining with demons, and fighting deadly battles.

The game has a unique combat system that deviates from traditional turn-based tactics. Players can anticipate the enemy’s moves and strategize accordingly. The actions are then executed in real-time. Different party members and enemies have varying abilities, so it’s important to identify their strengths and weaknesses to gain an advantage.

Other key features to look forward to are unlocking game-changing skills, recruiting powerful allies, and collecting life-saving resources. Additionally, each campaign features a unique character with their own set of special abilities.

Although no specific window release date has been announced, Arco is slated to launch sometime in 2024 for unspecific consoles and PC via Steam.
