Latest Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix Lets You Extend Romance With An Evil Companion
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|September 6, 2023|0 Comment
Remember Minthara the drow vengeance paladin from Baldur’s Gate 3, the hit computer RPG from Larian Studios? Of course you don’t; you probably are one of the many who murdered her and her group of goblins in Act 1 to save the druid grove.
Good news for those who chose to spare her and keep her in your party; you can carry on your romance of evil through the game’s later acts thanks to a new hotfix for the game. Of course, this means that you had to slaughter the druids, meaning that half your party isn’t going to like her company. Here’s the patch notes for this part in the game:
“If approval is high enough, your romance with Minthara will progress in Act 3. This unlocks several new dialogues allowing you to explore and deepen the relationship, and discover more details of Minthara’s backstory. Alongside many lines of interactive dialogue, many more non-interactive voiced lines are available with Minthara as a romantic partner.
Other companions in the party will comment on the relationship and may even find themselves on Minthara’s bad side (there is no good side; we’ve looked really hard for it) should they have their own romantic entanglements with you. Minthara won’t watch silently if you stray from her side.”
You know what they say; once you go black…
In related news, the new Baldur’s Gate 3 hotfix, tailor-made for the PlayStation 5 version which should be out now, also includes graphical issues on HDR TVs, and a crash that happens when opening the onscreen keyboard. The full list of hotfixes is below:
