By Lewis LarcombeVerified|October 5, 2023|0 Comment
The Delicious in Dungeon anime by Studio Trigger just dropped its first full trailer, and it’s a treat! They’ve even thrown in the catchy opening theme, “Sleep Walking Orchestra” by BUMP OF CHICKEN. But that’s not all – they unveiled the show’s format too, revealing that it’s gonna be a two-cour journey.
They’ve introduced three new faces to the cast:
Mark your calendars for January 2024, because that’s when Delicious in Dungeon is set to premiere on Netflix. Yoshihiro Miyajima, the genius behind SSSS.Dynazenon, is directing this tasty adventure. He’s no newbie – he’s the one who brought us that awesome commercial for the manga’s eighth tankoubon volume.
And the talent doesn’t stop there:
So, what’s Delicious in Dungeon all about? It’s based on Ryouko Kui’s manga, published by KADOKAWA since 2015, with a hefty 12 tankoubon volumes as of August 2022. According to Yen Press, here’s the lowdown:
Picture this: Young adventurer Laios and his gang get wrecked by a dragon in a dungeon. They lose everything – money, supplies, and even a teammate! Now, they’re all fired up to rescue their lost comrade, but there’s a teeny tiny issue – they’re broke and hungry. What’s their genius plan? “Let’s munch on the monsters!” Yep, slimes, basilisks, and even dragons are on the menu for these dungeon-crawling foodies!
And here’s the cast:
Bon appétit, fellow anime enthusiasts! This culinary adventure is gonna be a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
