Diablo 4 Is On Its Way To Steam Sooner Than We Think
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|October 5, 2023|0 Comment
Diablo 4 is heading to Steam in mid-October, and it’s got some cool stuff in store for us. This marks the second Blizzard title hitting Valve’s digital shelves, with Overwatch 2 already making its debut on Steam back in August.
You can already find Diablo 4 listed on Steam, so go ahead and add it to your wishlist to keep the hype alive. Diablo 4’s arrival on Steam coincides with the launch of its fresh season of content, known as the Season of Blood. This season is all about Vampiric Powers, and it’s bringing a bunch of goodies like a brand-new questline and not one, but five additional endgame bosses. Get ready for some blood-pumping action!
What’s really awesome is that the Steam version of Diablo 4 is all about breaking down platform barriers. You’ll be able to enjoy cross-progression and cross-platform play, connecting with players on Battle.net, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Just remember, like Overwatch 2, you’ll need a Battle.net account to dive into the demonic action.
Oh, and for those of you eyeing Valve’s Steam Deck, you’re in luck! Blizzard’s global community development director, Adam Fletcher, hinted that Diablo 4 will be playable on it. However, they haven’t spilt all the details yet, so stay tuned for more on that front.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Steam without achievements and friends lists, right? The Steam release of Diablo 4 is fully equipped with Steam achievements and the ability to connect with your pals via Steam friends lists and other cool platform features.
In case you missed it, the Windows PC version of Diablo 4 was previously exclusive to Blizzard’s Battle.net store. But now, they’re all about spreading the love and bringing their games to players worldwide, making gaming more accessible than ever. So mark your calendars for 17 October, because Diablo 4 on Steam is going to be a bloody good time!
