PlayStation Partner Awards 2023 Japan Asia Takes Place Early December

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has announced the forthcoming PlayStation Partner Awards 2023 Japan Asia, which is scheduled to take place on 1 December. This annual event has been established with the purpose of acknowledging and honouring exceptional PlayStation adaptations of highly popular video game titles that have achieved significant sales across both the Japan and Asia regions.

The PlayStation Partner Awards, now in its 29th edition, has become a well-established tradition since its inception as the PlayStation Awards in 1994, shortly after the launch of the first renowned PlayStation console. This annual event remains dedicated to recognizing and celebrating game developers’ accomplishments and triumphs across Japan and Asia. Moreover, like the previous year, the 2023 ceremony will not be live-streamed.

The prestigious event will include several award categories, each acknowledging excellence in different aspects of game development. These categories include;

  • Grand Award – Presented to the three best-selling games worldwide between October 2022 and September 2023 that were developed in Japan / Asia regions.
  • Partner Award – In recognition of titles developed in the Japan / Asia region that had top-ranked worldwide sales between October 2022 and September 2023, with particularly notable results in activity.
  • Special Award – Given to titles that have achieved particularly notable activity results.
  • Users’ Choice Award – Given to the top five titles chosen by users in Japan and Asia. The title candidates are directly taken from the top 30 titles released between October 2022 and September 2023, ranked by the total number of hours played in the Japan and Asia regions.

The Users’ Choice Award offers users the chance to vote for their preferred games. This prestigious accolade will be bestowed upon the top five titles selected by users in the Japan/Asia regions.

Voting can be done now by visiting the designated links in each selected region: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan. It is important to note that the voting period will conclude on 6 November 2023 at 11:59 pm JST/ 10:59 pm MYT.
