Baldur’s Gate 3 Physical Deluxe Edition Now Available For Pre-Order

Larian Studios has officially announced the highly anticipated Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. This edition includes exclusive items that fans will undoubtedly find appealing.

The physical Baldur’s Gate 3: Deluxe Edition will be available for purchase at $79.99 / €79.99. One notable feature of this edition is that it will be playable on a disc, although it will require the use of multiple discs to accommodate the size of the game. The PlayStation 5 version will require two discs, while the Xbox version will come with three discs. The PC version, on the other hand, will feature a custom installer and include a Steam key.

According to Michael Douse, Larian’s Director of Publishing,

“This experiment is what we feel the future of physical media looks like, at least for us at Larian. We spent the last few months learning how to do it from scratch, and put everything we learned from the Collector’s Edition into what we hope is unbeatable value for what we’re considering our standard physical version going forward. If it works out, we’ll keep doing it this way.”

The physical Deluxe Edition will also include:

  • Cloth world map
  • Two fabric patches
  • Thirty-two stickers
  • Art poster
  • Original soundtrack on 3 CDs

The physical edition of the game will be available for purchase exclusively on the official Larian store, where pre-orders are currently being accepted. The studio has clarified that this Deluxe Edition will not be classified as a Collector’s Edition, so there is no need to rush to secure it.

Over the past weeks, Baldur’s Gate 3 has witnessed a steady flow of exciting news, with the latest development being its string of six wins at the recent Golden Joystick Awards and a strong contender for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2023. Although the website does not provide a specific delivery date, players can anticipate receiving their physical copy of Baldur’s Gate 3 sometime during Q1 2024.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The Xbox Series version is due out digitally in 2023, with the final release date to be announced at The Game Awards 2023 on 7 December 2023.
