Disney Dreamlight Valley Announces ‘ValleyVerse’ Multiplayer And First Expansion Coming This December

Disney Dreamlight Valley has finally revealed the much-anticipated details about its multiplayer feature. Gameloft, the developer behind the cosy social sim, had kept the information under wraps for some time.

However, during Dreamlight Valley’s digital showcase, an array of exciting updates for the game was announced. These updates include a forthcoming game expansion, new characters, a ported mobile version, and most importantly, the introduction of multiplayer. This release aligns with the original 2023 roadmap, as promised by Disney Dreamlight Valley, ensuring that players will be able to enjoy multiplayer before the year’s end.

Gameloft has always been engaging with the Dreamlight Valley community in providing the best features and experience before the big launch. It’s not a surprise when a highly requested feature such as multiplayer will finally be added to the game. The feature called ValleyVerse allows up to 4 players to visit each other’s Valleys. Players can chill and play together and even trade items with each other in helping quests that require piles of resources and meals. If you’re Scrooge McDuck store isn’t offering anything interesting, check out your friends and see what they have in stock. The team also promised that “It’s only the beginning and will add more content for the multiplayer feature.”

Alongside the multiplayer announcement, the livestream showcased announced Dreamlight Valley’s first-ever paid expansion, A Rift In Time. Brings players an all-new adventure in Eternity Isle, a lost forgotten island filled with ancient treasures to discover and magical artefacts that can help you control space and time. The adventures will roll out in three chapters: Welcome to Eternity Isle, The Spark of Imagination, and Treasures of Time.

Plus, you can make the island your very own by decorating, gardening, reconstructing the ruins, and more. Throughout the island, players get to discover new biomes such as Ancient’s Landing, the Glittering Dunes, and the Wild Tangle. Each of these fascinating biomes will be accompanied by new Disney/Pixar characters, including EVE from Wall-E, Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, and Rapunzel from Tangled. These characters will help you on your journey to find items and discover new places throughout the expansion. The best part is you can even add them to your main Valley!

To survive the dangers and enemies ahead, players get to control magic tools like the Royal Hourglass. Also one of the important keys in defeating the main villain, Jafar from Disney’s Aladdin. A Rift in Time will be available with the 1.0 update on 5 December 2023.

In its free content roadmap, players can look forward to the arrival of Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas alongside the release of the multiplayer feature. Moreover, Mike and Sulley from Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. will join the Valley followed by more realms and villagers in the spring, and Princess Tiana’s arrival in the summer of 2024, where we highly presume there’s going to be lots of baking and cooking activities.

Mobile players can soon experience the magic in Disney Dreamlight Valley with the upcoming Disney Dreamlight Valley Arcade Edition. This version will include the base game alongside the newly announced expansion. All the latest updates will be included but without the seasonal Star Path or the Premium Shop, which are available across other platforms. The mobile version is exclusively for Apple Aracade and will be accessible on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac devices with an Apple Arcade subscription starting on 5 December 2023.

To complete the immersive experience, now players can listen to Disney Dreamlight Valley music wherever they are, available on popular music streaming platforms.

You can now install the Early Access version of the game to grab the Founder’s Pack, which is available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is slated to launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam on 5 December 2023, along with PC Game Pass.
