Indie Jam 2023: What You Need To Know

Experience Southeast Asian indie games at the Indie Jam 2023, at LaLaport BBCC in Kuala Lumpur. From the 18th to the 19th of November, this event will bring together gamers and developers for an exciting weekend.

Indie Jam 2023, organized by The Magic Rain is the perfect opportunity to discover and support talented indie game developers from Southeast Asia. Showcasing a diverse lineup of innovative and exciting games, this event promises to bring something unique to the gaming industry. In addition to showcasing new and upcoming indie games, Indie Jam 2023 will also feature industry-sharing sessions by renowned guest speakers, artists’ valley, night concert, and much more. It’s a gaming extravaganza that you shouldn’t miss out!

Venue: Level 4, LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, Kuala Lumpur

Date: 18 – 19 November 2023

Entry charge: Free entry

 

Southeast Asian Indie Game Showcase

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience a curated selection of new and upcoming indie games hailing from the SEA region. Over 20 titles feature including Gigabash by Passion Republic Studios, Kabaret by Persona Theory Games, Katana Rama by Ghost Machine, Malice: Chiyo by Nimbus Games and many more. Indie Jam Game Jam Showcase

Attendees will have the opportunity to test various games that have been developed within a span of 48 hours. These games will be presented in the Game Jam Showcase area, where visitors are encouraged to cast their votes for their favourite creations. Voters will play a significant role in determining the final score and selecting the winner of the first Indie Jam Game Jam 2023.

 

Artists’ Alley

Explore the awe-inspiring Artists Valley, where attendees can discover a vast array of merchandise, artwork, and collectables inspired by SEA indie games.

 

Night Concert

Prepare to be captivated by an array of vibrant performances showcasing local personalities including Ian Fewbeats, NovaMC, the enchanting vocals of Sarah in a Snowstorm, and many more.

 

Industry Sharing Sessions

Listen to renowned game developers and influential members of the indie gaming community as they share their experiences and insights regarding the industry. Game developers who are interested in participating in these sessions can still do so by registering here. Panels featuring our very own Content Director Mr Toffee, Devolver Digital, Cellar Vault Games, Weyrdworks, and more.
