The fourth episode of Invincible Season 2 is now streaming on Prime Video Malaysia. Check out my spoiler-free review of Invincible Season 2 by heading over here.
Check out my breakdown of Invincible Season 2 Episode 1, Episode 2 and Episode 3 here.
The synopsis reads:
Still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season 1, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it.
Starring Steven Yeun, with Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Chris Diamantopoulos, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Seth Rogen, and J.K. Simmons. Joining the Season 2 cast are Sterling K. Brown, Peter Cullen, Rob Delaney, Calista Flockhart, Phil LaMarr, Luke MacFarlane, Tatiana Maslany, Scott McNairy, Jay Pharoah, Ella Purnell, Tim Robinson, Ben Schwartz, Rhea Seehorn, Lea Thompson, Paul F. Tompkins, Shantel VanSanten, and more.
Created by Robert Kirkman (and artists Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley), Invincible revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson who learns that he has inherited incredible powers from his superhero alien father, Omni-Man. The comic series ran for 144 issues from 2003 to 2018, with many spinoffs and its own cohesive shared universe.
I’ll be discussing heavy spoilers so if you haven’t seen it or want to avoid spoilers, now’s your chance to stop reading.
He saves a bunch of Thraxans from a black hole and finds himself on their planet. From there, he built a new life there, with a new family. This will surprise Mark. It’s another big twist for those who haven’t read the comics.
And his name is Oliver Grayson. He’s going to be an important character, but I won’t spoil anything for now. The comic readers will know what I’m talking about.
Yeah, so he’s part machine now. Sort of like Robocop in a way.
Will he do it?
We’ll have to wait until sometime in 2024 before we get the next four episodes of Invincible Season 2 and finally learn what’s next for Mark.
Until then, excelsior!
