Zelda-Inspired Adventure RPG Faeland Enters Early Access In December

The publisher and developer Talegames has officially announced that its highly anticipated adventure RPG titled Faeland will be launching on Steam Early Access in December. The game promises a variety of arsenals, new abilities acquired through scrolls, customizable armour and gear, and more.

The adventure RPG was initially announced for a Kickstarter campaign in 2018 and little information has been revealed since then. In Faeland, players take on the role of a young hunter named Sam, who lives in an isolated cottage deep within a dense forest. One day, Sam’s peaceful existence is shattered when his home is invaded by a horde of trolls and orcs. Forced to flee with only the bare essentials, Sam embarks on a perilous journey to find a new home. Unbeknownst to him, a greater threat awaits him in the shadows, and the entire realm’s survival will depend on him fulfilling his destiny as a hero.

As far as gameplay goes, players can freely travel from town to town, interact with NPCs, and obtain useful hints and information on the game’s lore as they play. They also have the opportunity to engage in commerce, buying and selling valuable items in the game. Players can also purchase new equipment and consumables, as well as take on quests to acquire useful loot while progressing in the main story.

The combat style can be customized through equipped weapons, including knives, daggers, swords, axes, spears, and bows. Each weapon has different attack animations, speeds, strengths, and effects. Additionally, players must acquire new abilities and special items to gain entrance to previously inaccessible areas and paths.

Faeland’s captivating aspect is its pixel art animations, which transport players back to the nostalgic realm of classic 8-bit video games. Plus, the delightful 16-bit game music further enhances the overall gaming experience, creating a harmonious blend of visuals and audio that truly captures the senses. We can’t wait to experience the game once it launches in Early Access.

Faeland is slated to launch on Steam Early Access on 6 December 2023.
