CEO of Larian Studios Shares What He Really Wanted To Say at TGA
By Xandria Morden|December 14, 2023|0 Comment
When Baldur’s Gate 3 won Game of the Year at The Game Awards recently, Larian Studios’ CEO Swen Vincke’s speech was cut short. He was also told to “please, wrap it up” when he was trying to pay tribute to the late Jim Southworth, Larian’s Cinematic Animation Lead, who had passed away in November. Many people from all over were furious and disappointed in the organizers.
Swen took to conveying what he really wanted to say at TGA on his social media instead. He posted a long thread on his thoughts on former Twitter, now X.
Swen appeared in armour to pay tribute to the Baldur’s Gate community. Aside from Game of the Year, Baldur’s Gate 3 also won the awards for Best RPG, Best Multiplayer Game, Best Community Support, and the Player’s Choice category, while actor Neil Newbon won Best Performance for his role as Astarion.
