Open-World Survival Smalland: Survive The Wilds Leaves Early Access This February

Publisher and developer Merge Games have confirmed that the open-world multiplayer survival game Smalland: Survive The Wilds will be out for consoles and PC in 1.0 form next month.

The game was initially released in Early Access for PC on 29 March 2023. Since then, it has undergone three early access updates, known as Giant’s Fall, Forbidden Monuments, and Amber Valleys. The team asserts that these updates have significantly enhanced the game’s content, introducing new biomes, enemies, mounts, NPCs, emotes and more. However, they emphasize that the journey in Smalland is far from over.

A big adventure on a tiny scale, players will embark on a thrilling expedition through dense forests to scorching deserts, where they will have the opportunity to craft formidable armour, tame wildlife, and construct a sturdy encampment. Multiplayer allows for up to 10 players to explore, fight, build and survive the wilds together.

In Smalland, players will also have the opportunity to delve into the rich lore of the Smallfolk through narrative quests and NPC encounters. The game’s dynamic weather system adds an element of unpredictability, creating an organic living environment. Players can choose to customize their characters as either warriors or builders, allowing for diverse gameplay experiences. With a wide range of upgrades and customization options available, players can tailor their characters to suit their preferred playstyle.

Smalland: Survive the Wilds is scheduled for 1.0 released on 15 February 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
