Sony CES 2024 Disappoints With No New Announcements But Reminds Us Of Existing Projects Like God Of War & Zelda
By Alleef Ashaari|January 9, 2024|0 Comment
The Sony CES 2024 live stream took place earlier today but if you’re expecting something significant from their PlayStation, gaming or entertainment (movies, TV, etc.) sides, I’m sorry to disappoint you. There was a whole lot of nothing as Sony used their press conference to remind everyone of existing projects, but there was nothing new from PlayStation or Sony Pictures.
That’s really disappointing, considering that last year in 2023, we got a look at Sony’s new PS5 Access Controller for players with disabilities, as well as our first look at a teaser for the Gran Turismo movie.
All we got at Sony CES 2024 was that oh, that Prime Video’s God Of War live-action series is still in the works, as well as the The Legend Of Zelda live-action movie and the Horizon Zero live-action Netflix series still being in development.
Don’t forget new logos for the upcoming new Karate Kid movie and Venom 3…
All we got from PlayStation is that PlayStation had a record high of 123 million monthly active users in December 2023.
Other notable small details include a possible first look at something Patapon-related (around the 2:31 mark)…
And the Gravity Rush movie (around the 2:15 mark)…
However, besides all the overly technical tech stuff, we didn’t really receive anything significant at this year’s Sony CES 2024 live stream. If you’re one of the people happy about all the tech and technical stuff, good for you, but the majority of people will have expected a lot more from Sony’s gaming and entertainment side.
Oh, well, it’s only January 2024, the first month of the year, so let’s cut them some slack and perhaps we’ll get more major announcements in the near future, instead of scraps like this.
