Streamline Studios Sets Foot In Japan With New Female Studio Director

This strategic move positions the company for expansion in Japan, one of the fastest-growing gaming markets in the world. Who is Rui Kawada? According to Streamline Studios who got her on board, she is a seasoned figure in the gaming industry with a remarkable track record of over 15 years, joined Streamline to drive new ventures in Japan. Throughout her career, Kawada has held influential positions in Nintendo of Europe, where she played a pivotal role in assisting Japanese companies in establishing their presence in Western countries and Square Enix, where she worked on Final Fantasy XV. Her most recent role at Google saw her provide valuable support to Japanese mobile game developers within the Android ecosystem.
In her new position at Streamline, Kawada will work closely with Kenji Kajiwara, the Head of Japan, to strengthen partnerships with Japanese game companies and explore untapped business opportunities and collaborations within the region.
