Dying Light 2 Stay Human Gets New Edition & Massive Update This Week

The Polish-based developer Techland has provided insights into the upcoming new edition and impending substantial update for the open-world zombie action game Dying Light 2 Stay Human. This edition, dubbed Dying Light 2 Stay Human – Reloaded Edition is being hailed as “the richest and most complete” of the game thus far, according to Tymon Smektala, the franchise director.

The upcoming edition will consist of the base game along with the Bloody Ties DLC, providing players with even more content to enjoy. Additionally, this edition will include special surprises exclusively for fans of Dying Light 2.

Not only will Techland be releasing the new edition, but they also announced that the Firearms Update will be arriving alongside it. This update marks the introduction of guns to the game for the very first time. The announcement of this addition was teased several months ago as part of a stacked roadmap, and it’s among several significant additions that Techland has in store for Dying Light 2 in the coming months.

Based on Gamerant’s developer blog video, players can expect to encounter a shotgun, a rifle, and an SMG. Techland has emphasized their commitment to continuously refining the update as necessary. For those who have not yet purchased the game, the Reloaded Edition will replace the standard edition of Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

The Firearms Update will bring about several improvements to the visual aspects, such as enhancing skyboxes, plants, and zombie faces. Additionally, the update will expand upon the content for single-player and cooperative modes. There will also be some surprises in store for fans who have thoroughly enjoyed the first part.

The upcoming update will be free for players who already own the game. However, it is important to note that the previously promised tower raids and Nightmare difficulty will not be a part of this update. The developers have elected to take a little more time to implement these elements.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human – Reloaded Edition and Firearms Update will launch on 22 February 2024 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
