Cassette Beasts Multiplayer Update Set For Release In May

Publisher Raw Fury and developer Bytten Studio have revealed that the eagerly awaited Multiplayer update for the monster-catching RPG, Cassette Beasts, will finally be arriving on 20 May 2024 with crossplay on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
This update introduces a multiplayer mode that allows players to team up, explore, trade, raid, and battle together in the world of Cassette Beasts. Players can challenge friends in player-versus-player battles and customize the rules of the game according to their preferences, such as enabling or disabling specific sticker attributes.
What is even more exciting is that a special multiplayer beta test is available on Steam from now until 20 May. Any existing owners of Cassette Beasts interested in trying out the Multiplayer beta early can gain access through the beta branch on Steam. To join the multiplayer beta, players will need to backup save files, uninstall mods, and then select the “Betas” tab under Cassette Beasts’ Steam properties.
It is currently unknown whether Cassette Beasts will initiate the multiplayer beta on other platforms before the official release.
Coinciding with the multiplayer update launch date, Cassette Beasts has joined forces with Moonstone Island, a creature collector game that Raw Fury published and received rave reviews last September. This collaboration brings together two highly praised titles that excel in creature collecting. With this collaboration, players will have access to Moonstone Island-themed costumes, as well as a Cassette Beasts’ Pombomb being added to Moonstone Island’s Spirit roster.
In the Showcase 2024 posted by Raw Fury on YouTube, it was unveiled that Cassette Beasts will be making its way to Android and iOS devices. However, the showcase did not provide a specific release date for the mobile launch, mentioning only that the game is “coming soon.”
