Honkai Star Rail Acheron Guide – The Best Build for the Deadly Emanator
By Xandria Morden|March 28, 2024|0 Comment
The Emanator of Nihility, posing as a simple Galaxy Ranger. As mysterious as she comes and goes, she is a major character in Honkai: Star Rail post 2.0 update. Hopefully, we get more interesting details on her soon, but let’s go into her gameplay!
A deadly 5* Lightning and Nihility character, she can deal devastating damage with the right team and build. Her kit is unique and different to other builds, and her Ultimate is where she really shines. She can reduce enemies defenses, break toughness regardless of what the weakness type is, and the best part, she does massive AoE and Single-target damage. She has two parts to her kit, Crimson Knots and Slashed Dream.
Acheron does not use Energy, but she uses her ultimate when her Slashed Dream reaches 9. Crimson Knots however works differently. Crimson Knots are inflicted on enemies and enemies with Crimson Knots take increased Ultimate damage from her. She gains both of these by using her skill, or if any allies debuffs her enemies. It is very important to make a team composition of 2 other Nihility characters in her team.
Basic ATK : Trilateral Wiltcross : Deals single target Lightning damage equal to 130% of Acheron’s Attack.
Skill : Octobolt Flash: Inflicts 1 stack of Crimson Knot on a single target and deals Blast Lightning damage equal to 200% of Acheron’s attack on the main target, and 75% of her Attack to the adjacent enemies. She also gains 1 point of Slashed Dream.
Ultimate : Slashed Dream Cries in Red: Unleashes Rainblade, dealing single target Lightning damage equal 28.8% of Acheron’s Attack, and removes up to 3 stacks of Crimson Knot from the target. When Crimson Knot is removed, deals AoE Lightning Damage equal to 18% of Acheron’s attack, with the damage multiplier for this attack increasing by 18% for each Crimson Knot stack removed. After unleashing Rainblade 3 times, immediately unleashes Stygian Resurge, dealing AoE Lightning Damage equal to 144% of Acheron’s attack, removing all Crimson Knot Stacks. Crimson Knot are not inflicted during the Ultimate.
Talent : Atop Rainleaf Hangs Oneness : Unleashes her Ultimate when Slashed Dream reaches 9 points. During the Ultimate, enemies’ toughness depletes irrespective of weakness type and reduces All Type Resistant of enemies by 25% until the end of the Ultimate. When any unit inflicts debuffs on an enemy, Acheron gains 1 point of Slashed Dream and inflicts Crimson Knot on the enemy target and if the ally debuffs multiple enemies, then the Crimson Knot stack will be inflicted on the enemy with the most Crimson Knot stacks. This effect can be triggered one time per action. Additionally, when Acheron is on the Battlefield, and after an enemy target leaves or is defeated, their Crimson Knot stacks will be transferred to the enemy target with the current most stacks.
Technique : Quadrivalent Ascendance : After entering the battle, Acheron gains 2 points of Slashed Dream, deals AoE Lightning damage equal to 80% of Acheron’s attack, and inflicts 2 stacks of Crimson Knot on a single random enemy. If the enemy has Red Karma, they will be immediately defeated and will not enter combat. The Technique immediately attacks the enemy, and if the enemy is not hit, the Technique point is not spent.
Acheron’s Talent is extremely busted. She reduces All Type Resistance of enemies by 25% when she uses her Ultimate, while also allowing her to deal Toughness damage irrespective of the enemy weakness type. As seen in 2.1, her technique allows her to instantly kill people without entering combat.
E1: Silenced Sky Spake Sooth: Crit Rate increases by 18% when dealing Damage to debuffed enemies.
E2: Mute Thunder in Still Tempest: The Nihility character requirement for the highest value of The Abyss trace is reduced by 1. Acheron gains 1 point of Slashed Dream at the beginning of her turn. Additionally, inflict 1 stack of Crimson Knot on an enemy with most Crimson Knot.
E3: Frost Bites in Death: Ultimate Level + 2, up to Level 15 max, Basic Attack Level + 1, up to Level 10 max.
E4: Shrined Fire for Mirrored Soul: Inflict Ultimate Damage vulnerability to all enemies, increasing the Ultimate Damage taken by enemies by 12% for 2 turns, when using the Ultimate.
E5: Strewn Souls on Erased Earths: Skill Level + 2, up to Level 15 max, Talent Level + 2, up to Level 15 max.
Apocalypse, the Emancipator (E6): Crit Damage of the Ultimate increases by 60%, and her Skill and Basic Attack damage are also considered Ultimate Damage.
Her signature light cone, Along The Passing Shore is the best light cone for her. This provides her with additional Critical Hit Damage and allows her to inflict debuffs.
ALONG THE PASSING SHORE: Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 36%. When the wearer hits an enemy target, inflicts Mirage Fizzle on the enemy, lasting for 1 turn. Each time the wearer attacks, this effect can only trigger 1 time on each target. The wearer deals 24% increased DMG to targets afflicted with Miragle Fizzle, and the DMG dealt by the wearer’s Ultimate additionally increases by 24%.
INCESSANT RAIN: Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 24%. When the wearer deals DMG to an enemy that currently has 3 or more debuffs, increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12%. After the wearer uses their Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, there is a 100% base chance to implant Aether Code on a random hit target that does not yet have it. Targets with Aether Code receive 12% increased DMG for 1 turn.
With extra Nihility characters by your Acheron, you will see a lot of debuffs on enemies. This is why the light cone is good for that.
If you are poor like me, you can use this 4* Light Cone. Just remember that this does not have debuff application.
GOOD NIGHT AND SLEEP WELL: For every debuff the target enemy has, the DMG dealt by the wearer increases by 12%, stacking up to 3 time(s). This effect also applies to DoT.
Her relics and ornaments are one of the most important parts of her kit. She benefits the most with offensive stats like Attack and Critical Damage. Having her Speed high is also very important. Don’t forget about her passive and consider having two Nihility characters in her team composition. The pioneer set is considered her best in slot as it gives her increased DMG against debuffed enemies while also giving her a Crit Rate and DMG boost based on the debuffs on the enemy.
Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters- 4PC: Increases CRIT Rate by 4%. The wearer deals 8%/12% increased CRIT DMG to enemies with at least 2/3 debuffs. After the wearer inflicts a debuff on enemy targets, the aforementioned effects increase by 100%, lasting for 1 turn(s).
Band of Sizzling Thunder- 4PC: When the wearer uses their Skill, increases the wearer’s ATK by 20% for 1 turn(s).
For ornaments,
Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm- 2PC: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When entering battle, if at least one other ally follows the same Path as the wearer, then the wearer’s CRIT Rate increases by 12%.
This ornament was made specifically for Acheron. It increases her ATK by 12% and boosts her CRIT Rate by 12% if another Nihility unit is on the field.
Firmament Frontline: Glamoth- 2PC: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD is equal to or higher than 135/160, the wearer deals 12%/18% more DMG.
The DMG buff from this can work well with Acheron as long as she has at least 135 SPD.
