Origami-Inspired Puzzle Adventure Paper Trail Unfolds This May
Publisher and developer Newfangled Games finally has a release date for its anticipated origami-inspired puzzle adventure game, Paper Trail. Players will follow the story of aspiring academic Paige who calls upon the need to fold and tear their way through gorgeous levels built entirely out of paper.
Throughout the game, Paige will discover new paths on her journey as she leaves home for the first time. Travelling through the folds will introduce Paige to a unique cast of characters, who tell their stories and enlighten her about the wider world. Explore a variety of handcrafted environments as Paige makes her journey to University, taking in the sights and wonders as she goes.
The art style of Paper Trail is enchanting, blending flat aesthetic styles such as printmaking and watercolour to create a unique and visually striking game that complements the paper theme. The developers have skillfully incorporated these visual elements to create a cohesive and immersive gaming experience for players.
Paper Trail is slated to launch on 21 May 2024 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Followed by iOS and Android exclusively via Netflix Games on day one.
