Avoid This Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Character If You Don’t Want To Get Locked Out Of A Perfect Game
In this week’s big JRPG epic Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (out on 23 April for PCs and consoles), you can collect over 100 heroes to your cause against the empire, each with their own skillsets and passive skills. However, there is one hero you need to avoid as of now.
We’ll go into specifics past the spoiler warning boxes, so we will keep it vague: don’t go to Daphan Village. There is an NPC in that village that will not be recruitable if you talk to them repeatedly without going through a few early steps. We’ll talk about those steps right now:
So the hero you have to avoid as of now is Lam, who is this lovely lass right here in Daphan Village. You can only access this village if you are en route to Euchrisse and to the capital of Hisahn in the story.
However, like any JRPG, you are compelled to talk to every living person and creature on-screen, so you may unwittingly talk to her. If you do, you basically cannot recruit her at all, locking you out of getting the final character in the game (Leene, Nowa’s sister) since you need all 114 heroes to get her.
So yeah, the quest is bugged. Until developer Rabbit & Bear Studio creates a hotfix and emergency patch for this crucial part of the game, you have to restart your playthrough.
So how can you recruit her while avoiding this game-breaking bug? Just follow these simple steps:
To avoid the bug just don't go into an area called Daphan Village until you've recruited a character named Riufan and talked to him at the castle

Long story short: avoid Daphan Village until you get Riufan in Hisahn, talk to him at HQ, then head down to recruit Lam at Daphan village. Phew! Let’s hope Rabbit & Bear fixes this pronto as it is essential to get a perfect run in Eiyuden Chronicle. For more on the game, do check out our review of the title.
