Selamat Hari Raya! The Best Party Games To Play When Your Cousins Are Around [2024 Edition]
By Team KKP|April 8, 2024|2 Comments
Until Halo Infinite adds in split-screen, this is the only option to play all the Halo games on one screen. This eclectic collection is the best way to show your cousins and relatives the joy of fun first-person shooting fragfest, be it in a PvP setting or in a single-player co-op fiesta.
One of last year’s best cyberpunk action games has offline co-op. Three of you and your cousins/relatives can buddy up and take on the slew of cyberthugs and corporate goons with guns and swords, isometric perspective style. The Ascent may have had some co-op bugs back when it launched, but now most of it has been fixed. Your co-op sessions offline should go unhindered, thus letting you all relive the days when games like Smash TV and Total Carnage brought people together.
A stellar success on the Nintendo Switch that took the internet by storm. With everyone staying at home, the charming life simulator, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is letting players create their own islands, capture endemic life and pay off debts to Tom Nook.
While it sounds simple, the gameplay is actually more engaging than that because you can visit each other’s islands and show off your island!
Aside from that, the game has a lot of sandbox potential to be enjoyed alone or better with friends. The only downside is you need a Nintendo Switch, and that is a challenge in itself.
Minecraft is a great game to chill out and do stuff together in a virtual world where you’re safe from any germs and viruses. Plus, the game is on multiple platforms, making it very accessible to everyone.
In Creative mode, you can practically do anything, such as build a house and decorate it, or dig mines and explore the subterranean caverns. Going through the night is also another fun activity, especially in Survival mode. In that mode, you are able to create shelters to hunker down for the night, or instead, you can hunt the spiders and skeletons that roam the night.
The best part of the playing together is the limitless possibilities, especially with friends.
The epitome of online party games is here. Jackbox Games offers players a number of packs containing different party games that can be played online. The store also allows you to buy single games. The endless variety of party games will get you and your friends cackling and have a great time even during the lockdown.
Just check out Dunkey’s wacky party experience!
Although it sounds quite complicated to set up, they have a guide for you to get going which you can find here.
This little sweet indie title has lots to offer in terms of activities done together. Multiplayer on Stardew Valley expands on the single-player mode and lets you farm and gain profit together with friends.
Farming is way better with friends. Speaking of farming…
This is one heck of a sim game in which you can live your farmer fantasies with your pals. You start off with a humble farm in which you can sow seeds and reap your rewards for profit. Further down the road, you can expand your business to more than just wheat and start planting more complex crops like cotton or potatoes.
If you’re on PC, you can make your experience wackier with the inclusion of mods that helps you farm more efficiently, or just download that Lamborghini mod and race around your farms. Trust me, don’t sleep on this title, it’s worth checking out with your friends and family.
If you have finer tastes in online multiplayer, Final Fantasy has you covered. Traditionally, an MMORPG has a boatload of content, and FFXIV is no different. The inclusion of Shadowbringers expansion adds more content to grind and enjoy at home while celebrating the festive season.
In case you’re done with the Shadowbringers expansion, here’s what you can do next.
Warzone is Call of Duty’s free version of multiplayer that features a battle royale mode and a fun Plunder mode. Our resident player, Kenn, sang praises for the game. You can spend hours playing Warzone and you’ll still have new places to discover on the map.
This is a worthy game to check out since you have tons of guns to unlock and customizations to make your weapon truly yours.
An open-world experience with the potential to do anything, including heists and crazy jobs? Sign me up! GTA Online offers hours and hours of fun in Los Santos and Blaine County. You can basically build your virtual heist career with your friends, and execute the Diamond Casino Heist for the big game.
Once you’re done with the heists, you can roleplay in the huge, rich locale of Los Santos, riding in your blinged-out ride bought with your hard-earned heist money.
A great pirate sim with tons of sandbox potential offering tons of plunder and shenanigans with your friends and family. Voyages are surprisingly fun and reminiscent of the trip back to your hometown during festive seasons.
Ship battles are also bread and butter of the Sea of Thieves experience, so load the cannons and get ready to blast the other ship down to Davy Jones’ Locker. Give this game a try, and drag your pals together for a great time.
There you have it folks, great online multiplayer games for festive fun sessions, especially when everyone is far away. What do you think about the list? Any other fun online party games?
The Original Story below also includes great party games that can be played online such as Overcooked! 2 and many more, so check out the full article down below!
Original Story:
Hari Raya Aidilfitri, or Eid-ul Fitr, marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, and is one of those annual festive moments where all the families, regardless of belief, gather and spend the time together.
It’s fun having every one of your extended family over and doing activities together, but when the fireworks aren’t enough and card games aren’t cutting the mustard, or if the kids are getting out of hand, it’s time to pop up the bigger guns.
Yes, I’m referring to video game consoles and those fun party games. These games are definitely fun played in a group and would guarantee tons of laughter and maybe some quarrels.
So here we go: the top party games in no particular order.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the best racing games to play when everyone is over. Just dock the Switch and connect it to a TV, provided the family isn’t watching any Raya dramas, and go to town.
Just remember to take a chill pill and don’t be salty. Because this game has the potential to make or break friendships.
You’ll be in charge of a kitchen and will be cooking together with your friends and family. As if the traditional family dodol-stirring night ain’t enough, you’ll be working together to make sure the food is well prepared and on time
You’ll be handing out high-fives all party long as the kitchen rolls!
This ragdoll brawler is a game that’s definitely going to crack laughs around the room. I know that for sure because I had tons of fun playing this game and cried laughing.
Check out PewDiePie’s session of Gang Beasts. Be warned, don’t drink or eat while watching this video or you’ll choke.
This brawler is the successor to the hugely successful Super Smash Bros on the Wii and it is hella lot more fun, especially with the right company.
It’s reminiscent of the classic Digimon Rumble Arena games where players can duke it out on unique stages with unique stage hazards and modifiers. It’s definitely a fun fighting game to mix up the mood.
This one is another Mario entry but with more variation in competitions. It’s the essence of party games, hence its the namesake of the title. You can team up with your cousins or create a family tournament with this game. Just check out the tons of minigames offered by the game.
Trust me, you’ll enjoy family gatherings better with this title playing in the house.
