Turn-Based Cyberpunk RPG Keylocker releases in Summer 2024

Publisher Serenity Forge and developer Moonana have revealed their eagerly anticipated turn-based cyberpunk rhythm RPG game, Keylocker, which is set to launch in the summer of 2024.

Drawing inspiration from renowned titles such as the Mario & Luigi RPG series and Chrono Trigger, the game places you in the shoes of BOBO, a talented singer and songwriter in a serene yet oppressive world. In this silent realm, music has been banned, and it is up to BOBO to defy the oppressive regime and unleash the power of music to bring freedom to the planet.

Players will navigate real-time battles, aiming their shots and timing their attacks to counter and block their opponents. Inspired by Chrono Trigger, the game features seamless in-world battles, allowing players to engage their enemies in dynamic and strategic combat.

One of the key features of Keylocker is the choice of multiple character options. Each has its own skill tree and storyline, providing players with diverse gameplay options and an immersive narrative experience. Plus, you’ll get to gather resources by befriending citizens or betraying them, which will change the course of the storyline.

If you’re on a break from rebelling, you get to experience the Music Show minigame, where you can jam with friends and enjoy captivating compositions created by Elektrobear.

As of now, there is no known release date for Keylocker, but it will be available for Xbox Series X/S as well as PC via Steam sometime in Summer 2024.
