Destiny 2 The Final Shape Gets Launch Trailer With Billie Eilish Song

Bungie has unveiled the launch trailer for Destiny 2 The Final Shape, featuring Billie Eilish’s ‘Everything I Wanted’ track.
Destiny 2 The Final Shape is the 8th expansion and the 7th year of extended content for Destiny 2 and 10th year of content for the franchise, it is scheduled to be released on 4 June 2024.
The Final Shape will revolve around the player’s Guardian seeking out the franchise’s major villain, the Witness, who had disappeared through a portal that it created on the surface of the celestial Traveler at the conclusion of Lightfall (2023). The Guardian and the Vanguard must stop the Witness from creating the titular Final Shape—the calcification and destruction of all life in the universe—and end the war between the Light and Darkness, concluding Destiny’s first major saga, the “Light and Darkness” saga.
In addition to new super abilities for the existing Light subclasses, a new subclass, “Prismatic”, will be added, allowing players to combine and use Light and Darkness abilities in tandem. The expansion will also add new content across the game, including new missions, Player versus Environment locations, Player versus Player maps, player gear, weaponry, and a new raid. Unlike prior years, Year 7 will not follow the seasonal model in which the year is divided into four seasonal content offerings. Instead, there will be three large episodes, which will be standalone experiences, and each episode will be divided into three acts, telling the aftermath of the expansion.
The episodes, titled Echoes, Revenant, and Heresy, were originally set to release in March, July, and November, respectively, but these were also pushed back due to The Final Shape’s delay; the first episode, Echoes, will begin a week after the expansion’s release on 11 June 2024 with the other two episodes tentatively set for October 2024 and February 2025.
