Prime Video Fallout Series Commands 65 Million Viewers Worldwide In First 16 Days
By Alleef Ashaari|May 2, 2024|0 Comment
Prime Video has announced that Fallout Season 1 has garnered a whopping 65 million viewers in its first 16 days since it premiered in April 2024.
Fallout is the most-watched title ever on Prime Video among adults aged 18 to 34 through its first 16 days. It is also the second most-watched title ever on Prime Video and the most-watched title since The Lord Of The Rings The Rings Of Power through its first 16 days.
Fallout is the number one title globally on Prime Video during its first 16 days (and has reached number one in 170 countries). More than 60 percent of Fallout’s audience is based internationally, with outsized performance in UK, France, and Brazil through its first 16 days.
Fifteen licensing partners across categories including apparel, accessories, collectables, beverages, and more were part of the launch of the merchandising program, along with an Amazon storefront where visitors can indulge their Fallout fandom. The robust line-up will help form the foundation for the evolving Fallout franchise where fans of the series can continue to enjoy the characters and storylines once they finish their binge of the initial season. The licensing program is inspired by the new storylines and characters from the Prime Video series.
Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.
Ella Purnell is Lucy, an optimistic Vault-dweller with an all-American can-do spirit. Her peaceful and idealistic nature is tested when she is forced to the surface to rescue her father. Aaron Moten is Maximus, a young soldier who rises to the rank of squire in the militaristic faction called Brotherhood of Steel. He will do anything to further the Brotherhood’s goals of bringing law and order to the wasteland. Walton Goggins is the Ghoul, a morally ambiguous bounty hunter who holds within him a 200-year history of the post-nuclear world.
The series comes from Kilter Films and executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Nolan directed the first three episodes. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, creators, and co-showrunners. Athena Wickham of Kilter Films also executive produces, along with Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films produce in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
The Prime Video Fallout series cast includes Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Frances Turner (The Boys), Dave Register (Heightened), Zach Cherry (Severance), Johnny Pemberton (Ant-Man), Rodrigo Luzzi (Dead Ringers), Annabel O’Hagan (Law & Order: SVU), and Xelia Mendes-Jones (The Wheel of Time).
The whole first season of the live-action Fallout series is now streaming on Prime Video Malaysia, and it’s one of the best video game adaptations ever made (check out our full review here). It’s already been renewed for Season 2.
