Street Fighter 6: How To Unlock Shin Akuma
By Kakuchopurei|May 23, 2024|0 Comment
Street Fighter 6 has finally added long-time fan-favourite murder machine Akuma to the roster. And he comes with a boatload of tools to become a glass cannon offensive powerhouse.
Furthermore, you can unlock a few more moves from his classic repertoire. All it requires from you is to play out one of his Taunts, and then add in an extra input to that Taunt to activate his “Shin Akuma” mode. Granted, it’s an impractical way since you need to have this Taunt go uninterrupted, but it’s a fun easter egg.
1. As Akuma, press Back + Taunt to do his sitting Taunt. Then, press Down + Taunt before he stands up.
2. If you do it right, he’ll eat a giant rice ball and activate Shin Akuma mode. The Taunt takes 35+ seconds before the animation finishes.
3. Once it’s activated, he’ll have access to three new moves: Double Air Fireball (QCB+PP/214PP), his Super teleport karate chop Misogi (QCBx2+K/214214K), and SF5 pillar-of-flame chop Kongou Kokuretsu Zan (Down,Down,Down+PPP/222PPP).
Good luck convincing your opponent to wait until his animations play out to activate his Shin mode!
