Warhammer 40K: Darktide’s Secrets of the Machine God Update Revealed

Fatshark, the studio behind the hit Warhammer 40K: Darktide, has revealed exciting details about its upcoming update titled Secrets of the Machine God during the Warhammer Skulls 2024 showcase. Scheduled for release on 25 June, this free update promises to immerse players deeper into the grimdark world of Warhammer 40K.

One of the most anticipated features of this update is a brand-new mission that transports players to the eerie depths of a derelict Mechanicus research station in Atelium Foundryplex Omega V. Here, players will navigate through the labyrinthine corridors as they strive to establish contact with a mysterious informant to reactivate the Foundryplex. However, the stakes are high, as the true motives of the informant remain shrouded in secrecy, urging players to stay vigilant.

Adding to the arsenal of weapons available to players are iconic additions like the Bolt Pistol, Ogryn Pickaxes, Shockmauls, and a formidable Shotgun, ensuring that players are well-equipped to face the dangers lurking within the Foundryplex.

Moreover, Darktide is set to host its first-ever in-game event dubbed “Hestia’s Decollation Crusade.” Tasked with decimating heretic swarms by targeting their heads, players who emerge victorious will be rewarded with valuable in-game currencies such as Ordo Dockets, Plasteel, and Diamantine. The event is scheduled to run until 30 May, offering players ample opportunity to prove their mettle on the battlefield.

In addition to these exciting updates, Fatshark has addressed various bugs and issues, ensuring a smoother and more immersive gaming experience for players. Cosmetic anomalies and clipping problems have been rectified, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the game.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is currently available on PC and Xbox Series X | S, with access via Game Pass for subscribers. However, PS5 users will have to wait a bit longer for a potential release.

With the Secrets of the Machine God update, Fatshark continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering captivating content and enriching the Darktide experience for players. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date draws near.
