Before Your Eyes Devs Announce Narrative Adventure Game Goodnight Universe

Publisher Skybound Games and developer Nice Dream have recently released a teaser for their upcoming indie title, Goodnight Universe. The project has attracted notable attention, having creators of the critically acclaimed indie game Before Your Eyes, as well as, particularly, for featuring the voice talents of Lewis Pullman from Top Gun Maverick and Lessons in Chemistry, who will bring the character of Isaac to life.
In an intriguing twist on gameplay, players will take on the role of Isaac, a six-month-old baby endowed with self-awareness and psychic powers. Amidst his innocent desires for love and acceptance from his family, a shadowy tech company seeks to exploit Isaac’s extraordinary abilities for their own gain. Players will navigate the household from Isaac’s perspective, harnessing his psychic skills to thwart the malevolent corporation’s plans.
The storyline promises to be “a hilarious yet heartbreaking first-person narrative adventure.” Isaac is the youngest addition to the family, with a sister as the eldest. The narrative will include Isaac’s family, and players can interact with a charming cast of fully-voiced characters to branch the story.
Adding a layer of engagement, the game introduces an innovative “face-tracking” mode. This feature leverages camera technology, showcasing the development team’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of interactive storytelling.
Although there is no release date yet, Goodnight Universe is set to launch for PC via Steam.
