Danganronpa Creator Unveils First Thrilling Trailer For Tribe Nine

Too Kyo Games and Akatsuki Games revealed their latest free-to-play title, Tribe Nine, set to launch on PC and iOS/Android. Created by the mastermind behind the renowned Dangangropa series, Kazutaka Kodaka, Tribe Nine promises to be an “extreme” action RPG, seamlessly blending 2D and 3D graphics.

Players will find themselves in a high-stakes, neon-lit Neo Tokyo, a city where deadly games determine the fate of its inhabitants. The narrative follows a diverse group of teenagers, each fighting to reclaim their stolen dreams and freedom in this ruthless urban landscape. If this sounds like something out of a dystopian novel, it’s because the setting was crafted by Too Kyo Games, the studio helmed by Kazutaka Kodaka, the mastermind behind Danganronpa.

Kazutaka Kodaka, renowned for creating the critically acclaimed Danganronpa series, left Spike Chunsoft in 2017 to co-found Too Kyo Games. His departure marked a new chapter in his career, bringing his unique storytelling and game design vision to new projects like Tribe Nine. Under his leadership, Too Kyo Games continues to push the boundaries of narrative-driven gaming experiences.

In this year 20XX, Neo Tokyo is a futuristic nation where deadly games are the law of the land. Players will control characters as they explore this vibrant city, battling formidable enemies in a quest to liberate it. The gameplay features a trio of characters fighting simultaneously on the battlefield, with ally units dynamically luring enemies and healing comrades. When the moment is right, players can unleash devastating combo attacks involving all three party members.

Each character in Tribe Nine brings a unique personality and battle strategy to the table, allowing for varied and dynamic gameplay. Players progress through the story by exploring the city, encountering battles, and engaging in various events. Tasks range from collecting items and solving puzzles to completing mini-games and fulfilling requests from Neo Tokyo’s residents.

Customisation is key in Tribe Nine. Each character has distinct skills and actions, offering multiple playstyles. Players can level up their characters, choose which stats to enhance, and select their equipment. This flexibility even allows for unconventional builds, such as turning a healer into an attacker.

Tribe Nine will continue to evolve with new main stories and cities added through updates. Gamers can look forward to an ever-expanding adventure in this electrifying, dystopian world—all for free.

Prepare to step into the exhilarating world of Tribe Nine and experience a battle for freedom like no other. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches!
