Fight Club Director Is Working On An English Squid Game Remake
Korean TV series Squid Game became a worldwide hit for Netflix in 2021 and just several years later, Hollywood has taken its grubby hands on yet another IP for a remake.
According to The Playlist, legendary director David Fincher is working on an English remake of Squid Game with writer Dennis Kelly after he put aside his Chinatown prequel series.
However, Netflix has yet to officially announce an English remake of Squid Game. The only officially confirmed thing happening soon will be Squid Game Season 2, which is set to premiere sometime later in 2024.
David Fincher is a renowned director with a lot of acclaimed projects under his belt, including iconic films such as 1999’s Fight Club and 2010’s The Social Network, as well as TV shows such as Netflix’s Mindhunter, which ran for several seasons.
Squid Game is a 9-episode series starring Lee Jung-Jae (Star Wars The Acolyte) and others. You can watch Season 1 on Netflix right now.
