First Dwarf Enters Early Access on Steam
By Lewis Larcombe|June 24, 2024|0 Comment
The highly anticipated fantasy survival game, First Dwarf, developed by Star Drifters, has officially entered Early Access on Steam. Priced at US$24.99 / €23.99 / RM61.00, the game is currently available at a 15% discount until 4 July.
First Dwarf, powered by Unreal Engine 5, challenges players to explore and survive in an open world of floating islands. The game follows the adventures of Tru, a charismatic dwarven engineer, and his dragon companion, Ragna. Together, they traverse the remnants of Planet Driftland, a once-whole world shattered by a war between mages into floating islands now inhabited by barbaric tribes.
Players will guide Tru, who is equipped with a mech suit, in a quest to secure resources and establish new settlements for the dwindling dwarven civilisation. The game involves gathering resources, upgrading mechanical armour with mana, building bases, and defending against hostile fauna. As they progress, players will uncover secrets about Tru’s long-lost father and face a powerful being threatening the dwarven kingdom’s future.
The developers emphasise the importance of community feedback during the Early Access phase. Star Drifters CEO Jakub Wójcik stated, “Early Access is a powerful tool that allows us to involve the community in developing the game. Honest communication between players and the team is key. We look forward to hearing players’ feedback and suggestions to shape the final version of First Dwarf.”
Initially, Early Access will offer two islands, with a third island planned as a significant future update. Star Drifters have shared a “Living Roadmap,” which will adapt based on player feedback to ensure the game meets both developer and community expectations.
First Dwarf is set to release on PC (Steam/GOG), Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S in 2025. Join Tru and Ragna now on their epic adventure in First Dwarf Early Access on Steam, and be part of shaping this unique gaming experience.
