Publisher Microids and developer [2.21] have announced Little Big Adventure: Twinsen’s Quest, a remake of the classic action-adventure game, Little Big Adventure.
Formerly known as Twinsen’s Little Big Adventure Remastered, players are put in the shoes of Twinsen, a model citizen turned fugitive. The story takes place in an enchanting world with two suns, inhabited by four species that coexist in perfect harmony. However, everything changes when Dr. Funfrock, a scientist, introduces cloning and teleportation, gradually gaining control over the people.
Throughout the journey, players must search for the other rebels and form an underground network to overthrow the dictatorship. Armed with a mysterious Magic Ball, players get to explore breathtaking landscapes, solve intricate puzzles, and encounter formidable foes.
The game offers brand-new visuals, new music composed by the original game’s composer, and smoother gameplay. Since its last update in May 2023, the project has undergone significant changes. The game engine has been switched from Unreal Engine 5 to Unity, and the game is no longer considered a remaster but a remake. Additionally, Twinsen’s Quest has recruited a full team and signed with a publisher.
Although there is no specific release date yet, Little Big Adventure: Twinsen’s Quest is slated to launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam sometime this Fall of 2024.
