Monk Beer Brewing Tycoon Ale Abbey Announced At PC Gaming Show
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|June 10, 2024|0 Comment
Unwrapped during today’s PC Gaming Show, Ale Abbey emerges as a management simulation game set in a monastery devoted to the craft of brewing delectable ales. Players assume the role of overseers, tasked with navigating industry trends, maintaining monk brewer contentment, managing unforeseen events, seeking local authority protection, and thwarting bandit disruptions, all in pursuit of brewing success.
By assigning scholarly brethren to the library, gamers can unlock innovative brewing recipes. These concoctions are then brought to life in the brewery, where monks engage in the crucial processes of mashing and fermenting. The journey involves ingredient sourcing, technique exploration, and a dash of experimentation, as teased in the game’s trailer.
While the game appears intricate, Hammer & Ravens, the developer, hint at the potential for automating mundane tasks. They affirm that “the beer production loop reflects real-life craft experiences, involving recipe creation, brewing, and the excitement of seeing efforts manifest in a rewarding final product”.
Ale Abbey offers immersive gameplay, with the added spectacle of witnessing monks enjoying their creations, eventually succumbing to revelry. These monks truly embrace the spirit of merriment. If this piques your interest, anticipate the game’s release later this year, barring any unforeseen circumstances. Be sure to check out Ale Abbey’s Steam page.
