Stellar Blade Road Map Revealed
Even with the game already out, developer Shift Up still has plans for its debut PlayStation 5 action game Stellar Blade.
According to recent news on Gamemeca and KH Games, the company’s game has sold over 1 million copies, garnering a Metacritic user rating of 9.2 over 5,000 reviews; the highest in 2024 so far. The game may be getting a PC port and is being considered by Shift Up as part of the developer’s plans to make an IP everyone will love.
The company’s goal with Stellar Blade is to build a fanbase from around the world rather than maximizing profit, the latter being the sole purpose of its other game, Nikke: Goddess of Victory. With Stellar Blade, Shift Up is purposefully avoiding microtransactions and other F2P shenanigans that might dissatisfy users, focusing on delivering an engaging experience for players.
In addition, Shift Up revealed a Stellar Blade road map. Here’s the gist of what’s coming out post-launch:
So there you have it: more Stellar Blade outfits and a photo mode (finally) in the next few months since the game’s April launch. Hopefully, no one will start making more culture wars out of the game’s “censored outfits”. On a related note, there will be a Nikke x Stellar Blade collaboration happening; no date or timeframe has been announced yet. So enjoy the teaser image below in the meantime.
