It took Disney a while, but it’s now on-board going back to 2D pixel art and making a turn-based RPG out of it.

GungHo Online Entertainment has announced an upcoming free-to-play pixel art mobile RPG called Disney Pixel RPG, which features Disney characters and pixel artwork of the 16-bit kind. The game will be out for mobile devices (iOS, Android), with pre-registrations available right now for App Store and Google Play.

The game will feature simple turn-based battles, loads of customization for your avatar, and want to collect characters from Disney’s many, MANY films and shorts throughout the years from Sleeping Beauty to Aladdin. Yes, even you fans of Aristocats (all five of you) will get some representation.
