[Updated] Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason 2024 – Teams, Schedule & Results
By Lewis Larcombe|July 30, 2024|0 Comment
Level Infinite has revealed the details for the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason 2024 in Riyadh, scheduled for 1-4 August at the Esports World Cup. Twelve top-tier teams will compete for a share of the US$3,000,000 prize pool and the title of the best Honor of Kings team. To mark this event, Honor of Kings is introducing a special Esports World Cup skin, Heavenblade, for the popular hero Allain. Additionally, a new theme song, “Invincible,” produced by Grammy-nominated Mighty Mike and mixed by Grammy-winner Tom Norris, will be released.
The tournament will feature a single round-robin format, with teams divided into two groups. Matches will be best-of-one, determining group standings, with the top four from each group advancing to the knockout stages. From 3 August, the quarter-finals will be best-of-three, while the semi-finals and finals will be best-of-five.
From 26 July to 4 August, players can earn event currency by logging in, playing, or spectating matches. This currency can be used to flip 12 squares representing the competing squads, with rewards available at every third square and a chance to win exclusive items in a lucky draw. Missions refresh daily at 1:00 PM (GMT+8), and rewards will be sent via in-game mail within 24 hours.
On 29 July, the theme song “Invincible” will debut, blending electronic music and hip-hop to celebrate competitive esports. A music video featuring unique visualisations of Saudi Arabia will be released on 31 July, offering a unique experience for fans.
The final team from Southeast Asia will be determined on 30 July, when Indonesia’s Rex Regum Qeon faces the Philippines’ BOOM Esports at 8:00 PM (GMT+8). The match will be streamed in multiple languages on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, TikTok, and Honor of Kings in-game TV.
