Lidia Sobieska Enters The Tekken 8 Ring Later This Month

Bandai Namco has recently announced the release dates of the second DLC character, Lidia Sobieska, who will be joining Tekken 8 earlier than anticipated.

Lidia is showcased in a new trailer displaying her combat skills as she battles several fighters, including Leroy, Feng, Jin, and Reina. Her fighting style is centred on traditional Karate, featuring a variety of closed fist strikes and kicks from different angles. While her style bears some resemblance to Kazuya Mishima’s, as they both stem from the same form, Lidia is regarded as a more traditional practitioner, resulting in a slightly less flamboyant style.

The Warrior Prime Minister is set to debut on 22 July 2024 for Character Year 1 Pass owners. Additionally, the Tekken 8 version 1.06 update is scheduled for release on the same date, incorporating various behaviour fixes but no battle balance adjustments. This update also introduces Seaside Resort, a beachside-themed battle stage where the time transitions from day to sunset to night as the rounds progress. Lidia Sobieska will become available to all Tekken 8 players on 25 July 2024.

Tekken 8 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.
