Malaysia Wins Mobile Legends Mid Season Cup 2024

After a long series of high-level MOBA matches, Malaysia takes home the gold in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2024 tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the Esports World Cup series.

Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants has won the MSC 2024 against Falcons AP.Bren in a tense 4-3 standoff. The Malaysian team has been in the winner’s bracket in Group B since the start of MSC 2024. The team has been undefeated for 106 days, making smart moves throughout the circuit with their high-level plays. SRG has also shown themselves to be a counter-pick team as they have a 83% winrate whenever they pick second during drafts, while also showcasing the most unique heroes.

Still, Falcons AP.Bren have also shown resilience as both teams have very close objective control on the MLBB map. Selangor Red Giants won US$1,000,000 and 1,000 EWC Club Points for first place while Falcons AP.Bren won US$500,000 and 600 EWC Club Points for second place.

Support for Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants was at an all-time high. Watch parties for the Riyadh game in Malaysia were fully packed. Even one of the players, Stormie, was surprised when his parents came down to Riyadh to watch him and his team’s game against Fire Flux Esports.

Muhammad Haqqullah “Sekysss” Ahmad Shahrul Zaman emerged as the grand final MVP, his stellar performance across all seven games cementing his legacy in MLBB history. During his post-match interview, Sekysss expressed how it was a dream come true.

“I feel like I am dreaming right now because this is my first international tournament and we are the champions. We proved to all the netizens, who said Malaysia would (lose) 4-0 to AP.Bren, wrong. Alhamdulillah, thank you to all the Malaysian fans who supported us.”
