Overwatch 2 Transformers Crossover Skins Revealed in Animated Trailer
By Ali'sha Harris|July 9, 2024|0 Comment
Blizzard Entertainment and Hasbro have unveiled an exciting animated trailer for the highly anticipated collaboration between Overwatch 2 and the iconic Transformers franchise. The crossover was first hinted at in June coinciding with the debut of Season 11 of Overwatch 2. The animated trailer offers a preview of the new skins inspired by three Autobots and a Decepticon, as well as the release date for the collaboration.
Players can look forward to seeing Transformers-themed skins for Reinhardt, Bastion, Illari, and Ramratta. Reinhardt will be donning an Optimus Prime-inspired skin, while Bastion takes on the persona of Bumblebee. Additionally, Illari will receive an Arcee skin, and Ramattra will be transformed into Megatron. These four skins are consistent with the typical offerings for Overwatch crossovers, aligning with previous collaborations such as Cowboy Bebop, One Punch Man, the K-Pop group Le Sserafim, and brands like Porsche and LEGO.
Blizzard has yet to disclose details regarding the pricing of the Transformers skins for Overwatch 2 or whether they can be obtained through gameplay.
Blizzard has clarified that Overwatch heroes will be cosplaying as characters from external franchises in these collaborations rather than directly controlling Arcee, Bumblebee, Megatron, or Optimus Prime.
The Overwatch 2 x Transformers crossover is slated to launch on 9 July 2024 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
