Samurai Jack Joins MultiVersus This Week, Beetlejuice Arrives Later

Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games have announced that MultiVersus will add Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice as part of its second season, dubbed Season 2 Back In Time.

Samurai Jack will be available at the launch of Season 2 on 23 July 2024, followed later by Beetlejuice (no release date yet).

Samurai Jack comes from the five seasons of the Cartoon Network and Adult Swim action-adventure animated series of the same name.

Meanwhile, the troublesome ghost Beetlejuice (a.k.a. Betelgeuse) will arrive later in the season, in advance of the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice sequel to Beetlejuice (1988), which will premiere in cinemas on 5 September 2024.

Additionally, Ranked mode will be added to MultiVersus at the start of Season 2 on 23 July 2024, giving players the opportunity to participate in one-versus-one and two-versus-two matches while competing for leaderboard points to earn exclusive rank-based cosmetic rewards. Season 2 will also include the Water Tower, a new map where players can battle on the iconic Warner Bros. Water Tower, with surprise nods to popular Warner Bros. Discovery characters and franchises.

They join a roster that already includes:

  • Arya Stark from Game of Thrones
  • Batman from DC Comics
  • Black Adam from DC Comics
  • Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes
  • Finn the Human from Adventure Time
  • Garnet from Steven Universe
  • Gizmo from Gremlins
  • Harley Quinn from DC Comics
  • Iron Giant from The Iron Giant
  • Jake the Dog from Adventure Time
  • LeBron James from Space Jam: A New Legacy
  • Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes
  • Morty Smith from Rick and Morty
  • Reindog from MultiVersus Original
  • Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty
  • Shaggy Rogers from Scooby-Doo
  • Steven Universe from Steven Universe
  • Stripe from Gremlins
  • Superman from DC Comics
  • Taz from Looney Tunes
  • Tom and Jerry from Tom and Jerry
  • Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo
  • Wonder Woman from DC Comics
  • Joker from DC Comics
  • Jason Vorhees from Friday The 13th
  • Agent Smith from The Matrix

MultiVersus is now available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.
