Star Wars The Acolyte Episode 6 Breakdown & Easter Eggs

The sixth episode of Star Wars The Acolyte is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Check out my spoiler-free review of Star Wars The Acolyte by heading over here.

The Acolyte is set in the High Republic era during the prime of the Jedi, around one hundred years before the events of Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace.

The Acolyte stars Amandla Stenberg (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (Nine Perfect Strangers), Dafne Keen (Logan), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix).

For more details on each character, the StarWarsLord is here to help.

Check out my breakdown of Star Wars The Acolyte Episodes 1 and 2, Episode 3, Episode 4 and Episode 5 here.

The synopsis reads:

The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

It follows an investigation into a crime spree that pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.

Pip Is Still Alive, Bazil Helps Recharge Him

Surely Pip will be able to distinguish between Osha and Mae (since Mae impersonated Osha and is now on the ship with Master Sol)?

We’ll have to wait and see.

Qimir Reveals That He’s A Former Jedi

Qimir says that he was a Jedi a “really long time ago”.

Yup, Pip Knows But Mae Resets Him To Factory Settings

Oh, no, poor Pip!

Master Sol Is Acting Suspicious

Master Sol somehow discovers that it’s Mae on his ship (probably when she kept asking about what happened on Brendok all those years ago) and then he escapes when the Jedi rescue team led by Master Vernestra Rwoh arrives.

That’s quite suspicious and puts Master Sol in a bad light. Was he responsible for the tragedy on Brendok? We’ll have to wait and see.

Qimir Mentions His Objective Is The “Power Of Two”

What is the “Power Of Two”?

Perhaps it has something to do with the concept of the Force Dyad.

Back in Episode 1 of Star Wars The Acolyte during a flashback scene or vision, a younger version of Mae said to Osha:

“You’re with me. I’m with you. Always one, but born as two.”

That sounds similar to what Kylo Ren said to Rey in Star Wars Star Wars Episode IX The Rise Of Skywalker:

“My mother was the daughter of Vader. Your father was the son of the Emperor. What Palpatine doesn’t know is we’re a dyad in the Force, Rey. Two that are one.”

The reason why Osha is seeing all these visions of her sister can maybe be explained by them being a Force Dyad.

In Star Wars lore, a Force dyad was a phenomenon that occurred when two Force-sensitive beings shared a unique Force-bond with each other, connecting their minds across time and space. They were physically two separate individuals, but they were one in the Force. This form of connection made it possible for the bonded individuals to communicate with each other across great distances.

The concept of a Force Dyad was first introduced in the Sequel Trilogy movies, especially in Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens.

Master Vernestra Rwoh Uses Her Lightwhip For The First Time

She uses it against an Umbramoth, but it looks cool in motion.

Master Sol Seems A Bit Sith-y But He’s Finally Going To Reveal What Happened On Brendok Years Ago

But not in this episode, so we’ll have to wait for next week.

Oh, and Osha tries on Qimir’s Cortosis helmet. What could go wrong?

Until the next one, may the Force be with you!
