Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto Comic Series Announced

In an exciting development for fans of both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Naruto, IDW Publishing and Viz Media have teamed up to create a thrilling crossover comic series. Scheduled to span four issues, this collaboration is set to hit the shelves on 13 November, with an impressive lineup of talent behind its creation.

The comic is penned by Caleb Goellner, known for his work on Sonic the Hedgehog, while Hendry Prasetya, who has previously illustrated Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, handles the artwork. Raúl Angulo brings his colouring expertise to the series, and Ed Dukeshire is responsible for lettering. The cover art for the first issue is a joint effort by Jorge Jiménez and Prasetya, promising a visually stunning start to this epic saga.

Ninjas Galore

Described as “the coolest ninja matchup you could have ever dreamed of,” the story brings together two iconic ninja teams. The action kicks off when teenage reporter April O’Neil meets with Tsunade, the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village. This secret meeting catches the attention of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi, who are curious about the nature of their discussion.

However, the meeting also raised the interest of the nefarious Foot Clan, who suspected that April might possess crucial information about mutation research conducted by scientist Baxter Stockman. With April caught in the middle, it’s only a matter of time before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles step in to help her navigate this dangerous situation.

While this marks the first crossover comic series for these franchises, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Naruto have previously collaborated on merchandise available at the Box Lunch retail chain. Fans of both series are eagerly anticipating the dynamic blend of action and adventure this new comic promises to deliver.
